HEADACHE ALL GONE

From last night I was suffering from a bad headache. It got to a point that my head felt swollen and my ears were ringing. I had trouble getting out of bed in the morning to go to school as my head hurt and my back felt very sore. My condition could easily be attributed to hours on end working with the computer to edit the school videos. Since the start of the one week holidays until the second day I was back in school, I did not sleep much but kept working at the videos.

Well, I finally paid the price and really decided to put myself first before my work. I decided that I had to slow down and not push myself too much. If I had a stroke or heart attack then who would look after me. Besides, I have the responsibility of looking after my 77 year old mum.

So I left school at 4.35 p.m. today instead of 5.15 p.m. My way of relaxation was to go and visit my friend, Jasmine (third and fourth pictures) at her shop in Sitiawan, for a facial. It always relaxes me and also would do my skin a world of good. When I told Jasmine that I was suffering from a headache, she recommended that I have a traditional massage to get rid of the wind and also to soothe my tense body. She got one of the masseurs from her other Jasmine Spa shop at Manjung Point to come over to give me Balinese type of massage.

The masseur who came was a pretty Malay lady by the name of Farah (first and second pictures). She started with my head and mentioned that it was very hot and so was the rest of my body. I had thought that the weather was hot but realised there and then that I was running a fever.

After one and a half hours under the skilful hands of Farah, I felt much better and the pain at the back of my neck disappeared. She told me that I had quite a lot of 'wind' and that my muscles were bunched up and stiff when she was massaging me. Farah advised me to rest more. Yeah, I will only do an hour of video editing after this and then I'll shut the computer down and go and relax on my chair and watch a series with Jun-Ki in it.
