VICTIMS OF FLOOD

My friend and colleague, Puan Rasilah, and her family were evacuated to the Flood Relief Centre in Lekir at around 3.00 a.m. this morning. The flood waters in her house in Batu 7, Lekir was knee deep. She said that the water kept coming in and she only had time to place some items of furniture on a higher level, get hold of important documents and a grab a few item of clothings before leaving her house with her family. A few of my colleagues and I visited her at the centre today to see how she was and how she was coping with her current situation. Besides suffering from financial losses due to the floods, she and her family were safe. To me that is the most important thing as material possession can be acquired again through hard work.
