Today I made my favourite dessert, soya bean jelly. I learnt how to make it from my Aunt May and once in a while I'll make it for myself and my friends in school. Want to try making it? The recipe is below:
SOYA BEAN JELLY
Ingredients:
1/2 tahil agar-agar strands
1/2 kilo sugar
2 packets of soya bean milk
some pandanus leaves
1 tin of longan in syrup
Method
- Boil agar-agar strands with 7 cups of water. Put in some pandanus leaves and boil until agar-agar dissolves.
- Add in the sugar and boil until the sugar dissolves. Remove from heat.
- Add in 7 cups of soya bean milk and the syrup from the tin of longan.
- pour the mixture into jelly moulds or containers.
- Add the longan.
- Chill in the fridge before serving.
