For the Deepavali festival, there is a rangoli in my school library. It was done by my student and I to decorate the library and to educate the other students about this particular symbol for the festival.According to my student, Sharveen, it is usually the single girls who are given the task of making the rangoli for their houses during Deepavali. It also seems that the girls who create them would be blessed with marriage luck. That was why after I made the thing, my library clerk kept teasing me that I would be meeting the man of my dreams soon. Ha! Ha! Very funny.
