My two Hindu colleagues, Mr Bala and Madam Thava, treated my other colleagues and I to a meal of banana leaf rice at the 6 Spices Restaurant at Taman Seri Samudera in Seri Manjung. They said that it was an early Deepavali treat from them.

I also learnt something new today with regards to the after meal etiquette of eating this meal. It seems that diner has to fold the the banana leaf towards himself/herself after finishing the meal. This is to show that the diner is satisfied with the meal. If the leaf is not folded after the meal, this would indicate that the person did not enjoy the meal.
