Ethan Ruan and Joe Chen Qiao En of "Fated to Love You" fame were in Malaysia this weekend to promote their hit drama series which is being aired by Astro.
During the interview session with the Malaysian press, Chen Qiao En said that the Chinese media said that she had the knack of "bringing fame" to her male acting partners “带红”男主角. The Chinese refer to this type of lady as having the type of fortune in life to bring luck to the husband “旺夫命”.
Joe Chen felt that she did indeed bring fame to her male partners and happily joked that if any actor wanted to be famous, then they should go and act with her.
I am not too sure if Joe Chen has that type of Ba Zi or facial features to have the gift of being her husband's lucky star. A good face reader or fortune teller might be able to decipher her life code or tell from her looks. There are stories of some very poor men who after marriage to ladies whom fortune tellers have said to be able to bring fortune luck to their husbands become very prosperous. But one thing is for sure, those actors who have acted opposite Joe did indeed become very famous and popular.
