The Chinese believe that if a butterly or moth flies into the house at night, it might mean a visit from a departed soul which has taken the form of the insect. I had such a visitor last night. The butterfly lingered for a long time in my living room. Even resting on my hand and body.My student, Sharveen, tells me that the Hindus believe that if a butterfly comes into the house, it is a sign that they will be getting a visitor on that day.
