MEDICINAL HERB: CEKUR

The cekur plant ( Scientific name: Kaempferia galanga) is grown in the Herb Garden of my school. One way of using it is to apply the rhizome of the plant to the stomach to get rid of wind or gas. The rhizome could be cooked with the rice to make it tastier. You can make a tonic by boiling the rhizome in water. This is good for treating coughs.
