WISH BALLOONS

On the first day of the Chinese New Year, my mum, aunt and I sent our wishes for the year into the universe on balloons. We each bought a red helium-filled balloon with the words "Happy New Year" printed on it. Then we wrote our names on a pink piece of paper along with our wishes for the year, punched a hole at the top and tied it to each of our balloons. My mum and aunt wished for good luck and good health. I wished for success and good luck. At around noon we sent off our balloons. Before releasing the balloons we also verbally recited our wishes.
This sending a wish on a balloon can be done on other days as well but try and do it before the yin hour when it there is not much sunlight. If possible carry out the ritual when the sun is at its zenith.
