I am happy to report that Lai Yoong and I have been getting contributions from our friends and relatives to buy Christmas presents for the children of the Rumah Wawasan Sitiawan.
I must admit that I hadn't been going all out to get contributions as I have some urgent official duties to do and only managed to collect RM80.00 so far. Luckily Lai Yoong has been working very hard to get her friends to contribute and she managed to get quite a lot.
Since we have already collected quite a bit, I have started buying gifts for the children. Last night I bought some toys for the 5 boys. The trader gave me a lot of discount for the toys that I bought after she heard that they were for the children of the welfare home. Tomorrow I will be going back to Sitiawan and will shop for more gifts for the children with Lai Yoong. We will also be planning the menu for the gathering cum gift presentation at 1.00 p.m. on Saturday, the 22nd of December.
