Last Saturday I went to the Jade Emperor Temple in Tambun to light oil lamps for my friend from America. Taoists and Buddhists believe that lighting oil lamps would help to lift ones luck.
I told the temple assistant about my friend's problem and he recommended to light the lamp for career and communication luck.
I asked that the lamp be lit for my friend until the end of 2016. The name, birth details and address of the person and prayer requests will be included in the pink slip which will be attached to the oil lamp. Every day the temple assistant will keep adding oil to the lamp and also chant prayers for the person's intentions to be fulfilled.
