In the year of the Sheep, the Number 4 Star of Romance and Scholastic Luck will be residing in the Northwest. Ah ha, that is the part of the house where my Junior is. So my little kitten will become a scholar and find a girlfriend. Heh heh heh.
On a more serious note. those of you who have school going children would want to activate this sector so that the young ones would get excellent academic results. Likewise, those who are single or who have single sons or daughters would also want to do likewise. For scholastic luck, they can put a Chinese calligraphy set here. Those who want romance can try putting up the Double Happiness symbol or place a pair of Mandarin Luck here.
If you are not one for Feng Shui items, then try activating with a glass of water or a vase of flowers (make sure that the water is kept clean). You can also have a lucky bamboo plant in a vase.
Avoid using fire energy here. This means no fire, candles, the colour red or bright lights. Windchimes are also taboo and so are things made from iron. Colours to avoid are white or silver.
