Debot, the cat, still looks very cute and lovely after giving birth to one black kitten a couple months ago. She is now pregnant again. Wonder how many kittens she will deliver this time? And if they will look like her? Her owner tells me she has a handsome boyfriend cat called Brandon.

I follow your very interesting blog for a while now and I really like it. But I have to admit there are certain posts from you that make me cringe — not because of the post, but because of the animals or rather their owners.
I believe that we are guardians of animals, as for example cats and dogs, and we have to take care of them, are responsible for their well being. Cats and dogs that are not spayed or neutered are pregnant all the time. Too many babies to be taken care of, to be fed etc. The result is many of the babies are doomed to die, to live as strays or not find the proper homes they deserve.
I know that a lot of people think that animals are not worth such an effort, but I believe it is the right thing to do, because it keeps the population in check and makes sure that the existing animals have a better life. Being pregnant all the time is also very straining for the cat in this article.
Spaying or neutering is a cheap procedure every veterinary can perform.
