One of the volunteers at the Buddhist Temple in Kampung Koh is someone I know. She happens to be the mother of one of my former students, Tan Ming Huat. He was a student in my school when it was a technical school, way back in 2000. He scored 10As in his SPM examination and continued his studies at Universiti Petronas Malaysia. Ming Huat is an engineer attached to Petronas. His mum tells me that he is at present working in Iraq. He spends 6 months working there and another 6 months here.
